Little Cove (aka Dave's Bay)

Little Cove beach - Those little dots are divers on shore.

Name: Little Cove (aka Dave's Bay)
Built: In the beginning
Length: Big beach
Sunk: In the beginning
Depth: 0 - 50 feet
Rating: Novice
Description: This shore dive is located at the end of Little Cove Road (about 1 mile south of Tobermory). It is an excellent site for training, testing new equipment or just a casual dive. The shoreline consists of large stones so be sure to bring good footwear. Underwater, there is a good selection of shallow depths and massive boulders. Frequently, you will also find huge schools of small fish that act like schools of Silversides in the Caribbean. The school will open a hole to allow you to swim through and then close after you. It's fascinating! Water temperature can vary widely from day to day since it is totally exposed to Georgian Bay storms and water churn.
